How to respond to a one-star review (and win customers doing it)
6 min read · Aug 2026

Every business gets a bad review eventually. Future customers read your reply more closely than the review itself — it shows how you handle problems.
Use the three-part reply
Thank them, acknowledge the specific issue without arguing, and offer a way to make it right offline with a name and phone number.
Reply within a day
Speed shows you care. A reply three weeks later reads as damage control.
Bury it with good reviews
